The last two weeks have seen a whirlwind of activity in Help Desk. I have put a lot of work into my ILE - updating/refreshing the Northgate Website. See screenshots below:
I have been attempting to create an internal and external ticket system for the NHS Help Desk. This system is powered by the Zoho platform. I can not report any other developments as I am still setting up and exploring uses for this program.
After talking more with Mr. Tobin and Ms. Moore about what can be done not only at Northgate, but also around the district, I volunteered for an open student position on the district Technology Advisory Committee (TAC). I will be attending the first meeting on November 5! I am excited and hope to make a district wide impact while also communicating what issues I have noticed at our school.
I have also continued my work on the BOINC open-source computing system for the school. See the following Tweet to see me in action. I hope to launch the massive project before the end of this year. Once it begins the goal by June is to accumulate more than 200,000 credits.
Finally, I wrote a letter to Principal McAlister documenting issues that have been brought to our attention. My hope is that the issues within will be addressed with haste!
